Deposits 

We require a deposit for some services. Deposits are, of course, fully refundable or transferable if at least 48 hours notice is given for any cancellation.

A deposit of 50% of the cost of your service or treatment will be charged if you:

  • missed your last appointment with us
  • are a new client
  • are booking online
  • are booking for an appointment lasting more than one hour, such as hair colour or extensions
  • The deposit will be taken when you book your appointment and will be deducted off your bill when you pay for the service or treatment you have received.

The deposit will be fully refunded if a service or treatment is unsuitable for you or cannot be provided for any reason.

Cancellations

We require at least 48 hours notice of cancellations of appointments.
Your appointments are very important to the team members at Affinity. Your appointment is reserved especially for you and while we understand that sometimes life changes and schedule adjustments are necessary, we respectfully request at least 48 hours’ notice for these.

We kindly ask for adequate notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Missed appointments or late cancellations mean we’re unable to offer that time to another client.

You’ll receive a reminder text 48 hours before your booking. If you can’t make it, simply reply to let us know. Please note that no-shows or cancellations with insufficient notice will result in the loss of your deposit.

Since the services are reserved for you personally, a loss of deposit will apply if you fail to give at least 48 hours’ notice that you will not be able to make your appointment.

For appointments made within 48 hours, please cancel at least 8 hours in advance if you’re unable to attend. Cancellations made after this time, or failure to attend, will result in the loss of your deposit.

The cancellation policy gives us the time to inform our standby guests of any availability and keeps our team members’ schedules filled. Our aim is to provide you with an excellent level of service and our policies help us to achieve this.

Lateness 

Please note that if you are over 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may have to reschedule your service if it cannot be completed in the remaining time frame. All attempts to reschedule in a timely manner will be made. If we do not hear from you 15 or more minutes into your scheduled appointment time, it is considered a “No-Show” and will result in the loss of your deposit.

Your Safety & Allergy Allert Testing

It is very rare for a reaction to hair colour to occur but if it does it can be severe and can even cause hospitalisation, so for your safety and wellbeing a complimentary allergy alert test is required before your first colour service (even if you’ve had your hair coloured before at another salon or at home) or if it’s longer than 6 months since your previous allergy alert test with us.

To be effective, skin tests need to be carried out at least 48 hours before your colour service. No appointment is necessary for the test, and it takes just minutes – please pop into reception, or phone first if you’re unsure. Please let us know if you’ve had any skin reactions or tattoos since your last colour. Unfortunately, if you fail to have one done, then we will not colour your hair at your appointment. Your well-being is our priority, and any deposit will be lost.

Long Hair

When booking your first appointment, please let us know if you have extra long or thick hair as we may need to allow extra time for your appointment to achieve your desired look. If additional time is required, then we may charge for this time.

Complaints

We greatly value you as a client, so if for any reason you’re unhappy with your appointment or hair, please get in touch as soon as possible by phone on 01823272833 or email us so that we can resolve your concerns. If you, or a 3rd party, have attempted to alter your colour or cut then we cannot be held responsible, so please get in touch with us first to discuss your concerns.
